Thanks Sonya, it sounds like your daughter has found a perfect niche for herself. I wish her all the luck in the world and will prayerfully consider our options. I appreciate your response.

Good question, Linda. Our oldest is now nineteen and she opted not to take college classes. She is currently living at home and stays busy helping some other families homeschool and take care of their younger children. She is also starting her own business to complement her love for spinning and dyeing fiber.

We love having her here. We love the ministry God has given her to other families. We love that she is industrious, serving, and growing. (I see now why in former days the suitor had to pay the father for taking his daughter away from the family!)

If one of my children wants to pursue a college degree, or just take some college courses, I would still encourage her to take advantage of the CLEP tests and online classes that are recommended in College Without Compromise.

Hi, I noted that this post was a few years ago, and I wondered if your daughter did go to college or do something different. I have twin daughters who would like to attend college and I am conflicted also, especially as one wishes to go into the science field. Do you have any words of wisdom to offer - now that a few years have passed since this original post?
