Our First ABA Session

Our first drill was to get Hannah to “attend” (pay attention through eye contact). The first few tries were met with resistance and crying, but the last few tries the tears changed to smiles.
During the other drills we established attention first before giving a directive, and each time she improved. She even out-guessed what I was going to tell her to do at one point.

All-in-all the session was positive, and I think she’ll be cooperative tomorrow when I suggest it. (Unlike today, when she cried all the way to the room :-/  Of course, we’re learning that a response today doesn’t guarantee the same response tomorrow. So keep praying . . .
